    Description

    Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished EPIC Training Project Manager.

    Position: EPIC Training Project Manager (Job Id:

    Location: San Francisco CA Hybrid)

    Duration: 6 Months + Strong Possibility of Extension

    • Applies professional project management and IT concepts and department / unit and campus, medical center or Office of the President policies and procedures to manage complex projects.
    • Position Specific: Project manages all aspects of the Beaker Training project to ensure project management concepts and principles are used. Use PM tools such as Microsoft Office, Project, Teams, MyPPM and Learning Management Center.
    • Implements the project management process in support of products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams. Monitors and reports on project progress from initiation through delivery, including oversight of system integration, project and campus, medical center or Office of the President communications, interaction with vendors and managing risk. Creates project proposals and reports. Position Specific: Ensures the following:
    • Works with stakeholders to develop/implement APeX Training
    • Oversees credentialing of Credentialed Trainers to ensure training delivery is accurate and consistent
    • Training curriculum & MST build deadlines are met
    • QAs a subset of lesson plans to ensure quality of work
    • Provides Learning Center training reports and progress to Beaker/Lab stakeholders and leadership
    • Assembles and directs moderate to large project teams, designs project plans and schedules and monitors budget and resources. Directs the activities of the project with the goal of completing the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
    • Position Specifics:
    • Holds weekly training team meetings. Keeps meeting minutes and ensures communication happens with all levels of the team
    • Holds 1-1 or joins Manager/Trainer 1-1 to ensure deadlines are met, identify barriers and works with leadership to remove barriers
    • Works with managers/contracting agency on trainer feedback and productivity

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    • Requires minimum 3 5 years of project management experience, principles, theories, and concepts.
    • Requires effective communication and organization skills.
    • Requires basic knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
    • Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
    • Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
    • Demonstrated attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks.
    • Demonstrated advanced organization and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated effective writing skills.
    • Demonstrated competency in selecting and implementing project management methods and techniques.
    • Broad knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives.
    • Knowledge of most aspects of computing and communications including hardware infrastructure, networking, software, operations and disaster recovery.
    • Proven leadership ability. Effective problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to put forth persuasive arguments.
    • Effective skill at tracking effort and project progress.
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
    • Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI). Pref
