The Opportunity:
Salary Range:
$170,000 to $200,000
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Growing and enhancing our capabilities to support the administration of complex construction projects, primarily in the construction quality assurance/control team space.
- Providing a business development supporting role with Opportunity pursuit strategies, teaming strategies, development of statements of qualifications (SOQs) and cultivating client relationships for new pursuits.
- Developing project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Actively identifying, selecting, and hiring new inspectors and other construction services staff as we grow.
Project specific Construction Project Manager responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the administration of complex construction projects.
- Determination of acceptable materials furnished and work performed.
- Preparation of contract supplemental agreements.
- Verification and documentation of compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Monitoring and documentation of contractor activities.
- Oversight of material testing and documentation.
- Payment request reviews and authorizations.
- Project progress tracking and schedule compliance.
- Construction budget and scope monitoring.
- Field office operations.
- Supervision and mentoring of other Resident Engineers, Inspectors, and Field Office Staff.
- Lead and manage project preconstruction, partnering and public relations requirements.
- Coordinate and document all project plans changes, RFI's and final redline asbuilts.
- Lead and document all project meetings and stakeholder coordination.
Required Credentials:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in civil, construction management, or related discipline.
- California Professional Engineer License Preferred
- 10+ years of experience in construction management of water/wastewater projects.
- Proven track record in client account management, relationship development, and supervision of field and office staff.
- Experience in the full spectrum of consulting service including positioning, proposal development and delivery of project scope.
- Must be a selfstarter with demonstrated ability to solve complex construction conflicts.
- Demonstrated Resident Engineer skills and the ability to lead, train and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to communicate with clients and maintain successful client relations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budget, schedule, and construction quality assurance/control teams.
