- Maintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers.
- Ensure the best client service is available through communication amongst the team, cross-training within the department and appropriate office coverage.
- Works with sales managers to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
- Works with the management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the DOS.
- Set an example through a professional, friendly attitude toward clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers' needs and observance of sales office standards.
- Ensure the hotel meets or exceeds financial and occupancy goals.
- Work with the catering and conventions team to book and plan successful meetings and events.
- Utilize company profile database to determine geographic areas for travel agent calls while maintaining top and existing travel agent accounts.
- Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
- Creating a focus on attracting new business in all markets including BTS, convention, social, association, corporate and airline.
- Work inter-departmentally to ensure the successful execution of the groups, conferences and other business within the hotel.
- Updating and owning the sales strategy & action plans with General Manager, Revenue Manager and Corporate VP of sales.
- Review and approves any special corporate negotiated rates for all types of business.
- Provides positive and supportive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential.
- Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of hotel sales objectives.
- Works with sales team members to set and achieve goals.
- Participates in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Manages and leads airline contracts, booking and billing logistics.
- Understand and sell the Hilton brand promise.
- Responsible for the training of sales managers and staff.
- Follow and promote hotel standards with guests and co-workers.
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contracts, customer correspondence).
