    Description

    Summary

    This is a Student Internship position under the Pathways Internship Program.

    To qualify for this Internship, you MUST be a continuing student enrolled or accepted for enrollment for the current/upcoming semesters for the duration of the internship as a condition of employment, taking at least a half-time course load. You will be required to provide documentation to support eligibility. Students may be employed throughout the academic year.

    Duties

    This is a developmental position within the Office of Administration (HAD), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Department of Transportation (DOT). The position is designed to provide interns with challenging assignments that will broaden their perspectives on issues facing the government and prepare them for future positions throughout the government.

    The Student Trainee (Program Analyst) Pathways Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and will assist in the coordination, facilitation, and implementation of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) program at FHWA.

  • Support and develop innovative DEIA approaches, techniques, and marketing methods to assist in the development and organization of a DEIA program at FHWA with special emphasis on increasing the representation of minorities and underrepresented groups;
  • Ensure that our workforce is representative of the American public.
