BASIC FUNCTION:


Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; contribute to the development of the curriculum; serve the department, college, and university on various committees; and produce original scholarship and maintain an active research agenda.


SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:
Involves no responsibility or authority for the direction of others.


NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include students, faculty, the department chair, and other administrators, when relevant. External contacts include students and the general public.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Actively participate in Department's teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students; contribute to the development of the curriculum; serve the department, college, and university on various committees; and produce original scholarship and maintain an active research agenda.


CORE COMPETENCIES:
Effective pedagogical skills

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)

Ability to conduct independent research.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a PhD or terminal degree, in area appointed.
