    Regional Sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic
    Palo Alto, CA / Commercial

    Sales / Regular, Full-Time


    Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, Gator Bio is the leading developer and manufacturer of Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) instrumentation and consumable products.

    We provide label-free BLI solutions involving instrumentation, software, and consumables utilized for measuring real-time label-free biomolecular interaction. General applications include quantitation, kinetic analysis, and epitope binning. These products are utilized within the life science markets including biopharma, drug discovery, pharmaceuticals, biotech and academia.

    We are expanding and have two regional sales manager openings based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina and Bethesda, Maryland.

    We are looking for a seasoned professional, well-versed in the biopharma industry and academic research, to lead sales efforts. A strong track record of revenue generation and successful customer relationships in the life sciences tool industry is required.

    The successful candidate for this position will have in-depth knowledge of business and scientific decision makers in biopharma, CROs and academic research, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with them.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve and exceed monthly and yearly sales goals within the assigned territory.
    • Identify, develop, and close key opportunities within the life science research areas.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain account strategies and proposals to drive incremental growth.
    • Network with key decision makers to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
    • Submit accurate sales forecast, weekly reports, and maintain up-to-date detailed account information including product, market, application, and sales cycle through CRM system.
    • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, creating competitive solutions.
    • Be able to present and discuss technology, applications, benefits, and value proposition statements.
    • Identify & implement strategies to strengthen customer relationships utilizing internal resources.
    • Coordinate sales efforts with Field Application Scientist (FAS) and Service team for product demonstrations, sample workup and post sales support.
    • Ensure success for all customer accounts.
    • Attend trade shows, lunch & learns, user group meetings and virtual events.

    Qualifications

    • BS, MS, PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
    • Minimum of 3 years successful capital equipment scientific sales experience.
    • Expertise in Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) or Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) products preferred.
    • Sales-driven individual.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.
    • Experience successfully meeting/exceeding sales goals.
    • Experience creating and executing sales territory plan with focus on long-term relationships.
    • Must reside within the territory and be able to travel 40%, including overnight travel.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC or other related CRM sales funnel tools.
