    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join a large financial services company in the Charlotte, NC area. This position will be hybrid, working for within the Chief Financial Office organization. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data related to financial and capital markets products. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize SQL to query and extract relevant insights from large datasets.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Extraction and Transformation:

    • Utilize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data queries.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing data validation and cleansing.

    Financial Data Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data, including market trends, investment portfolios, and risk assessments.
    • Identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
    • Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

    Capital Markets Insights:

    • Investigate capital markets data, such as stock prices, bond yields, and trading volumes.
    • Provide actionable insights to support investment decisions and risk management.
    • Monitor market performance and contribute to strategic planning.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and other analysts.
    • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Participate in project meetings and contribute to data-driven initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
    • Familiarity with financial instruments, market data, and investment concepts.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Alteryx,Python , R, or other programming languages for data analysis.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Understanding of regulatory compliance and data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
