- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of municipal planning issues, including zoning regulations, land development, and environmental compliance.
- Handle all aspects of litigation related to municipal planning, including administrative hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop strategies for resolving complex legal disputes.
- Advise clients on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting land use and zoning.
- Participate in negotiations, meditations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Stay abreast of developments in municipal law, litigation trends, and regulatory changes.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ohio State Bar, with good standing.
- Minimum of four years of experience practicing municipal law, with a focus on land use, zoning, and litigation.
- Strong understanding of local government processes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Proven track record of successful litigation outcomes in municipal and administrative proceedings.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal services and achieving client objectives.
