    Benefits Analyst

    PURPOSE:

    Administer benefits programs in compliance with government regulations and plan provisions to ensure equitable administration to employees.

    Essential Duties and Requirements

    • Responsible for customer service of Benefits; oversees; monitors calls; Benefits inbox; resolves issues; monitors/creates metrics; works directly with Sr. Specialists and Managers to ensure reasonable timeframes for issues resolution.
    • Responsible for processing continuation of coverage, including mailing letters, tracking and collection of payments due.
    • Assists with new hire benefits orientation and open enrollment presentations.
    • Complies with government and state regulations and plan provisions to ensure equitable administration to employees.
    • Investigates and resolves eligibility file issues; researches and resolves file discrepancies reported by carriers and/or audit findings.
    • Responsible for promoting and enhancing voluntary benefits.
    • Provides policy interpretation and clarifies procedures to HR and Department management.
    • Assists in annual benefits open enrollment including plan design changes and testing; conducts open enrollment presentations.
    • Recommends improvements to procedures or systems to increase productivity and increase employee awareness.
    • Assists in identifying inefficiencies and areas in need of improvement.
    • Leads special projects as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned or performs other duties when necessary.
    Qualifications:

    Competencies:

    • 2-5 years experience administering employee benefits or insurance benefit information.
    • Work effectively and efficiently within strict deadlines as part of a team.
    • Strong organization skills.
    • Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced environment and to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    • Strong knowledge of Excel and experience navigating online systems.
    • Ability to receive, prioritize, and complete tasks from multiple sources with minimal supervision and must also
      possess proven customer service skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
    • Experience working in a strong customer-service focused environment within the human resources, benefits,
      retirement plan administration field strongly preferred.
    • Experience in developing educational and training materials.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree
    Other Requirements:

    Pay Range - Minimum:
    USD $38.45/Hr.

    Pay Range - Maximum:
    USD $45.05/Hr.
