- Define and level up the end-to-end workflow for our many creative disciplines, such as Character Art, Animation, Environment Art, Audio, UI/UX and VFX
- Provide technical support to artists working from our art workflows, collecting data to further improve the tools they are using, making recommendations and improvements
- Profile memory and performance on TFT and its systems, and provide insight and guidance on how to optimize our content with technical constraints in mind
- Be an active member of the Tech Art community within Riot, participate in craft-focused meetings and events, and actively mentor for other Technical Artists in their craft
- Build close relationships with the artists and engineers you work alongside to better understand their needs and collaborate on tool and pipeline development
- Spread knowledge of the team's processes through documentation and help teams expand their technical know-how
- Consistently give and take constructive feedback, direct next steps, and communicate clear goals and outcomes to your team
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience as a technical artist in games or related industries
- Expertise in game development using modern game engines such as Unreal or Unity
- Expertise in industry standard content creation tools, such as Maya and Photoshop
- Fluency in modern scripting languages and related UI frameworks, such as Python and PyQt/PySide
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with C# and C++
- Experience with PBR content pipelines, such as Substance Painter/Designer
- Experience with content optimization techniques and software, such as Houdini or Simplygon

Description
The mission of Technical Art on Teamfight Tactics is to establish and improve the systems, tools, rigs, and workflows that unleash the creativity of our artists and allow the production of the best possible art content for our players and for our future.
As a Senior Tech Artist, you will help define the technical art needs across all of the different creative and technical teams on TFT. You will partner with the Art Leads and Tech Art Manager to inform on best practices, pipelines, workflows, and asset production. You will also collaborate with Engineers to understand and refine the technical constraints of our game. Lastly, you will work with fellow Tech Artists and experts across the studio to ensure healthy and consistent practices across the discipline.
You will report to the Tech Art Manager of TFT. You will work with experts throughout our Tools teams in League Studios to guide future-facing workflows, pipelines, and standards, and build a long-term strategy for the technical implementation of the creative vision for TFT. You will support and mentor artists in designing and creating assets, tools, and documents according to best practices. You will identify strategic art resource needs and work with the Art Director and Tech Art Manager to promote hiring for all tech art roles on the team. As a part of the Art discipline, you'll develop strategies and collaborate with many different disciplines to achieve broader product goals.
