    Description

    Our team in Santa Fe Springs, CA is looking for a HR Generalist. This is a contract opportunity. Length of assignment: 6 months+

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the HR Director in completing all required tasks and reporting in order to meet or exceed all corporate requirements.
    • Help employees and managers navigate through HR tools and processes.
    • Conduct investigations/ employee relations responsibilities
    • Develop complex and strategic ad hoc reporting as required
    • Assist with audits necessary to maintain corporate compliance and insure adherence to laws and regulations.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees by answering employee questions and/or responding to employee inquiries.
    • Administers drug testing programs and coordinating quarterly random testing as required.
    • Maintains employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and retention policies.
    • Processes all invoices for the department in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for onboarding all new employees, ensuring that all paperwork has been received and processed in a timely manner, including I-9 verification.
    • Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Protective Agreement, Dispute Resolution Agreement, DDOL, EEOC etc.
    • Other tasks and projects as needed to support the human resources department.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (business, organizational management, human resources management or related degree), and a minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.)
    • Dayforce, Workday, and Cornerstone experience preferred.

    • Must have experience supporting front-line management
    • Experience in warehousing, manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred.
