Together Priority Ambulance California and CONFIRE were selected to provide emergency and nonemergency ambulance services in portions of San Bernardino County, California._
  • Priority Ambulance California will work directly with CONFIRE EMS-MOBILE HEALTH (CONFIRE EMS), a division of CONFIRE. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to emergency medicine, including emergency medical ground ambulance transportation, 911, interfacility, and critical care transportation._

Description:


The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Human Resources Director and is responsible for providing day to day support and oversight of Human Resources functions to the business leaders and employees, including recruiting and staffing, performance management, HR system and process management, compensation, and payroll administration.

The Human Resources Generalist is a
salary-exempt role focused on process execution and employee support.


Specific Duties:


  • Ensure all aspects of human resources incorporate the vision, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Manage the HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems, and provide leaders with the essential reporting to appropriately manage their employee resources.
  • Ensures compliance and consistency with all prehire procedures. Process applicant in tracking system and followup.
  • Responsible for all clearance requirements including drug testing and any other job specific badging. Work with hiring managers to maximize the company's hiring potential.
  • Ensuring job descriptions are uptodate and accurate.
  • Provide assistance and support to new hires in completing onboarding new hire paperwork. Create employee file and input into system.
  • Ensure completion of employee HR training and organizational development programs. Manage New Hire oversight.
  • Oversight of compliance and accuracy of HR files.
  • Explain and provide information on employee benefit programs.
  • Ensure HR compliance in areas such as proper unemployment reporting, OSHA, and EEOC. Perform periodic audits.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, disputes, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Participate in and support various projects, as requested. Perform other duties as directed or needed.

Minimum Requirements:


  • 2 or more years of working experience in HR; preferably in a union environment.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws; federal and CA state regulations
  • Experience in Employee Relations and People Development, including full cycle ER investigations.
  • Experience with recruitment and talent acquisition processes.
  • Ability to work alone and within a team on a broad variety of projects with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to communicate with business groups, outside clients, and local municipality members and officials.
  • Strong time management and administrative skills with proven attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Solid problemsolving and business acumen skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to speak, write and read the English language.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines when needed.
  • Must be punctual and able to meet deadlines as assigned.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:


  • The ability to reach, push and pull.
  • The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • The ability to use a computer/laptop for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to travel on short notice.
Salary range is $66,500 - $76,500
