    Successful company that holds a large part of the market share in their industry is seeking a sales leader to help the company grow into new markets.

    Company offers competitive base salary and strong EBITDA.

    The Sales Director – Elastomers is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth and profitability through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management.

    This role is pivotal in developing a robust succession plan for staffing needs, ensuring sustainable sales leadership, expanding business opportunities with both new and existing customers, and continuously innovating the sales process in collaboration with the executive team.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Business Development:
    Identify and pursue new business prospects to expand the company's customer base
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business
    Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs
    Explore and implement new sales venues, such as web sales platforms, and utilize purchasing lists for targeted selling

    Sales Leadership and Strategy:
    Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
    Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals
    Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
    Work closely with the executive team to bring continuous improvement to the sales and customer service processes

    Growth and Development of Sales Team and Department:
    Strategically expand the sales team to meet the growing demands of the business
    Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, including the use of educational videos and marketing materials
    Implement and leverage AI tools to support and enhance sales department functions

    Succession Planning and Staffing:
    Develop a strategic succession plan for the sales department to ensure continuity in leadership and sales excellence
    Identify future staffing needs based on sales forecasts and growth objectives
    Mentor and develop potential leaders within the team

    Reporting and Analysis:
    Regularly report on sales performance against targets, providing insights and action plans for improvement
    Analyze sales data to understand trends and make data-driven decisions

    Customer Relationship Management:
    Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
    Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues that may arise

    Job Requirements


    Technical Qualifications:
    Proven experience in a sales leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
    Experience in strategic planning, business development, succession planning, and implementing innovative sales strategies
    Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Proficient in sales and CRM software, with a willingness to adopt new technologies such as AI to enhance sales processes
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA is preferred
    Ability to travel 60-70%
