Pay Range:
$135k - $168k, depending on experience
Relocation availableGENERAL PURPOSE:
This position has direct accountability for leading the day-to-day manufacturing activities across all fabrication lines and shifts driving continuous improvement across key performance indicators including safety, on-time and complete delivery, first-pass quality, and productivity improvement/cost reductions
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads by example with respect to our Vision, Common Purpose, and
Quality Standards:
Safety, Integrity, Efficiency, Creativity, and Profitable Partnerships.
Provides direct support and leadership to department managers to meet or beat production volume, cost, quality, scheduling, and delivery goals.
Drives and implements safety programs with respect to behaviors, manufacturing processes, and process improvements across the facility to drive hazard awareness and injury prevention.
Actively participate in company performance management, professional development, and succession planning within the area of responsibility.Selects, retains, and develops top talent within all manufacturing management and supervisory roles.
Develops performance goals and objectives for direct staff that are aligned with organizational and facility goals.
Administers continuous improvement activities that will continue to drive Lean Methodology and the implementation of such programs within the facility.
Actively participates in quality and process improvement initiatives with the window fabrication teams.Oversees weekly production schedules to ensure production demand is being adjusted to stay within department outputs.
Manage proactively to effectively communicate upcoming production issues to all effected team members and customers.
Motivate direct reports to achieve key results. Must be an effective communicator and capable of teaching and generating results. Ensure compliance with any and all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or related field and 7-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing management role, or a sufficient combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.Strong leadership and team building skills.
Practical knowledge and experience utilizing world class manufacturing techniques.
Ability to understand financial and/or accounting acumen, e.g., budgeting, business analysis, etc.
Basic understanding of operational and capital budgeting.
Ability to manage using metrics on a daily basis to meet production schedules and continuous improvement activities.
Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, codes, guidelines and administrative best practices related to Building Products industry.
Strong personal integrity and a collaborative style; capable of building and sustaining productive, effective working relationships.
Highly professional image and presence.
Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
