    Brooklyn-based landscape build/ design agency is looking for a candidate as an Associate Architectural Designer to support the design office. We are a design-led agency. The candidate joins a tight-knit team dedicated to rapid project turnover, excellent standards of customer service, and all facets of professional construction and horticulture installations. The right candidate is a well-organized, highly functioning multi-tasker and problem solver. Experience in landscape design not required, but a plus.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Reports to the Principal Partners.
    • Works alongside the Creative Director for creative development.
    • Serves as the client's primary liaison, attending meetings and handling all correspondence.
    • Supports the Directors for subcontracted work as coordinated with our in-house construction activities.
    • Selects, reviews, and evaluates specialized material take-offs for design development, project estimates, and procurement.
    • Maintains client relationships throughout all project phases, from kick-off through close-out for all work designed by the agency.
    • Utilizes experience in construction and fabrication applications to inform and enrich the design-build process.
    • Works closely with the Directors and Principal Partners in reviewing the clarity, accuracy, and overall quality of internal design documents, shop drawings, general redlining as it relates to project development.
    • Supports the Studio Director with municipal filings, building submittals, and third-party consultant professionals when necessary.
    • Tracks and reports design hours per respective projects.
    • Assists in management of miscellaneous duties/ responsibilities as assigned.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2-5 years of architecture or landscape architecture experience
    • Fluency in AutoCAD, Fusion 360, InDesign, Photoshop (CNC experience a plus)
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Suite
    • Hand drawing skills (perspective + axon)
    • Excellent written + verbal communication skills
    • Solid mathematical understanding for problem-solving
    • Local to NYC area + able to commute daily to our Brooklyn studio
