    Additional Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field requiredStrong technical expertise in AI/ML algorithms, data modeling, and software development.

    Experience with cloud architecture and deploying scalable and secure solutions in a cloud environment.
    Experience with relational SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
    Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Proficient in programming languages used in data engineering, such as Python.


    Additional Preferred Qualifications:
    Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
    Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

    AWS cloud infrastructure knowledge Please note:
    Candidates with fewer than 5 years of direct experience may be considered at a lower salary grade.

    Additional Information This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 3 days per week.

    Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager. We may conduct candidate interviews virtually (phone and/or via Zoom) and/or in-person for this role.     Position Description The ML Data Engineer will be a key member of the D^3 operations team responsible for proper management of cloud infrastructure to ensure efficient and well-structured systems for use by researchers.


    Responsibilities Include:

    Lead the development of a comprehensive data ecosystem that facilitates seamless data collection, storage, processing, and analysis, enabling a unified, data-driven approach.

    Lead the selection and deployment of tools and platforms, evaluating their effectiveness and making adjustments as necessary.

    Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) to support AI/ML architecture for an intelligence research products, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and security.

    Responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, this role involves integrating diverse data sources through APIs, and ensuring efficient data flow between backend systems and user-facing platforms.

    Govern Large Language Model (LLM) infrastructure.

    Familiariaty with both traditional Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and modern Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes for handling structured and unstructured data.
