With roughly $700 billion in assets under management, Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) is a leading provider of multi-asset class solutions for retail and institutional clients.
The range of investment solutions includes target date funds, target allocations funds, income and real return strategies, world allocation funds, managed-volatility strategies and other custom institutional solutions.
FAMS is also developing and managing a range of cross-asset liquid alternative strategies, including, risk parity, global macro-opportunities, arbitrage products, and option-based hedging strategies.
The Role
You will become a key member of the SMA Option Overlay group responsible for designing, building, and managing the Option Overlay Platform.
You will play a key role in developing net new capabilities, drive required technology development, and develop partnerships across the organization.
You will work with the Asset Management Technology group to define requirements, develop use cases, test and validate capabilities built and approve ongoing development.
Ultimately you will use the platform to manage option overlays for customers across different distribution channels.The Value You Deliver
- Work with a small team to deliver a scaled option overlay capability for Fidelity clients
- Work with business partners in distribution to develop strategies, processes for customer on boarding, sales support and ongoing management
- Act as a key partner with product teams and investment leadership on product roadmaps and prioritization
- Work collaboratively across the FAMS option overlay team, broader derivative team as well as Asset Management and distribution partners
Education and Experience You Have
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is encouraged
- CFA a plus
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Prior handson experience running systematic option strategies
- Demonstrated experience in building technology and leading a project team
- Collaborative self starter who is comfortable working on a small team and playing multiple roles
- Practical understanding of option markets and optiontrading complexities
- In depth knowledge of the quantitative investment process including methodology selection, data collection and analysis, testing, prototyping, backtesting, and performance monitoring
- Comfort with modern technology and architecture and working with technology teams
- Deep understanding of the portfolio construction
