    Summary



    This position is located at the Pine Ridge Service Unit, Pine Ridge, SD. Will function as the Director of the OB/GYN department and perform (OB/GYN) clinical care services to patients of the hospital, health care centers, clinics or designated health care facilities, and outreach clinics.

    Duties

    • Perform patient medical examines, perform diagnostic test, diagnose health-related conditions of OB/GYN patients, prescribe therapy, conduct comprehensive surgical health interventions and surgical procedures, use specialty diagnostic instruments for invasive care, prescribe medications, therapies, and adjust dosage.
    • Supervise OB/GYN staff through performance evaluation, provide clinical guidance and technical training to staff, and find ways to improve production and increase the quality of patient care services. Provide technical guidance and instructions to division staff.
    • Develop department methods, polices, and procedures for compliance to regulations, guidelines, and maintain competency of medical staff bylaws.
    • Obtain patient medical history, collaborate with health care professionals to make decisions concerning medical and surgical care, create operative reports, and provide a wide range of health services.
