    Description

    Summary



    This position provides Nurse Practitioner clinical psychiatric services to multiple sites within the Pine Ridge Service Unit and collaborating programs on the Pine Ridge Reservation. The position is located in Pine Ridge, SD and reports to the Supervisory Physician or their designee.

    Recruitment or Relocation incentive authorized with applicable service agreement.

    Duties

    • Assess, plan and provide comprehensive and therapeutic psychiatric care to patients and their families.
    • Develops a treatment plan for mental health problems and psychiatric disorders.
    • Manages psychiatric emergencies and coordinates effective emergency care.
    • Provides consultative psychiatric evaluations and recommendations to other clinicians.
    • Recommends follow-up care and establishes referrals as needed.
