- Manage financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Lead our budgeting process and collaborate with department heads.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for performance optimization.
- Coordinate our year-end audit process with external auditors.
- Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements.
- Provide financial guidance and support to our teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals
- Generate financial reports (weekly, month-end, quarter-end, and annual).
- Annual insurance review and renewals for employee benefits, automobile, general liability, worker's comp, and miscellaneous policies.
- Maintain certificates for all subcontractors.
- Maintain all business certifications and business licenses.
- Ensure that all labor compliance is adhered to by all.
- HR duties as needed.
- Obtain and keep all employee records in compliance.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems that arise.
- Oversee the flow of cash and financial investments.
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a Controller, Office Manager, Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar position, with focus in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in an accounting function in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems. Prior experience using QuickBooks Enterprise is preferred.
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing a team.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- California Notary is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Clean background check.
- This is a full-time office-based position.
