- Resource Management –Manage expectations through detailed project management.
- Coordinate advisor activities by providing information to CPA, bankers, attorneys, regarding taxes, legal issues and insurance.
- Ensure division financial objectives are met or exceeded by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
- From onboarding new clients to ensuring issues are resolved with urgency, Controllers are experts at seeing beyond the numbers, providing information and solutions to the client in a concise and professional manner.
- Business Minded- Understand how to evaluate processes, how to shift gears, find solutions to challenges, and ensure profitability. Within the first 6 months, lead and manage at minimum 5 client relationships at one time while overseeing 1 accounting manager and 3-5 client associates. Be utilized, billing at 90% to clients.
- From Staff Accountant to Manager- Organization, prioritization, and delegation are key components of this role, but it is also critical that you can support and coach your team. Be willing to lead the team with respect, transparent communication, and clear expectations.
- Process Improvement – Develop and improve current policies and procedures to ensure the team is motivated, fully utilized, and maintaining efficiency and productivity.
- Manage Expectations- Be able to customize the client experience to meet their specific goals and needs. Ensure division financial objectives are met or exceeded by forecasting requirements, project management/resource allocation, analyzing profitability reports, analyze WIP reports, custom collections, etc.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Construction industry experience required.
- Experience in other industries highly preferred (manufacturing, e-commerce, distribution, and/or real estate).
- ERP experience required (Sage 300/100/50).
- 4+ years of accounting manager or controller experience, 2+ years' experience managing three or more team members.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and ability to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Very good communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Experience working remotely and tracking time.
- Expert GAAP knowledge.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills working with various office equipment, computers and programs including databases, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
