Permanent Part-Time with PTO and flexible work schedule between 26-28 hours a week

Position Summary:

Teen Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and activities as part of the five core program areas for youth in grades 6 through 12.

This position also provides leadership and supervision to assigned program staff and volunteers who work with the Club's homework programs, enrichment activities, and career readiness programs.

Relationships:

Internal:

Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain, or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.

External:
Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member's parents and other to assist in resolving problems.

Skills/knowledge preferred:

Four-year degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
planning, and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
Proven history with classroom management, youth team management, or management of youth in a group setting in grades 8-12.
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff and volunteers
Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
Mandatory CPR, First Aid Certifications, Child Abuse Prevention & Recognition training, Mandatory Reporting Training.

Physical requirements/work environment:

High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects; good interpersonal abilities; ability to interact effectively with co-workers of all levels as well as with representation of other organizations and institutions.

Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tact, maturity, and flexibility; physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting, standing, stooping, running, and the ability to lift 30 pounds.

Must be able to function under fast-paced and noisy conditions. Noise levels in the work environment will fluctuate from moderate to high.
