This role plays a crucial part in our company's success, as it involves implementing strategies that directly impact production efficiency and product development.
Role and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency and quality
Design and implement new production fixtures, tools, and equipment to improve manufacturing capabilities and reduce costs
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and process simulations to identify areas for improvement and optimize production flow
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness
Provide technical support and training to production personnel to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment specifications
Support new product development activities by providing input on manufacturability, cost reduction opportunities, and process optimization
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field; the company will consider a combination of education and experience
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience, with a preference for experience in the conveyor or material handling industry
Demonstrated proficiency in 3D modeling software, with preference given to candidates with expertise in SolidWorks
Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
Perform various tasks in support of plant production
Knowledge or experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9000, QS 9000)
Other duties as assigned

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Lifting, Carrying up to 25 pounds at times
