- A brief overview of your facility and what you produce- RPI Refractory products , division of Client they make high precision components that go into x ray tools.
- This person will be responsible for the project management duties related to the installation of a large machine tool and related facility expansion that is approximately $25M in scope.
- The machine (a forge press) is under construction and scheduled for delivery in May 2024 with project completion in November 2024.
- The installation of the machine includes the construction of a new portion of the existing building (a physical building expansion), the delivery of the new forge, establishing the appropriate building infrastructure and utility services, and the installation of the forge, related equipment, and automation devices.
- The project manager (PM) will make sure documented, efficient, and effective project management practices are followed to ensure fluid communication amongst all interested parties and the project meets timeline expectations.
- The PM will collaborate with equipment vendors, appropriate government officials, site leadership, local and off-site Client engineering, logistics teams, contractors, design firms and other related people, vendors, and organizations.
- The project must be managed to deliver a functioning forge and related equipment safely, on-time, and within budget. Specific skills such as construction techniques, the science of forge operation, and other specific technical skills are not required.
- This role focuses on the execution and administration of the project, not the technical details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient and effective with project management tools
- Excellent communication skills across a wide variety of functions and mediums including, but not limited to email, text, phone, and in-person.
- The ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Organization: multiple workstreams will be occurring simultaneously. The successful candidate must be organized and able to handle multiple, near simultaneous tasks while remaining calm under pressure.
- Problem solving: challenges and anomalies will arise. Problem solving is required to resolve issues and still achieve objectives.
- Agility/adaptability: to accommodate inevitable change while achieve overall project objectives.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and related graphical information mediums
- Experience:-Proven experience managing large industrial projects of high value and importance is required.
- Formal project management skills are a must.
- Construction management experience desired, industrial building construction experience a plus.
- Project Management Profession or similar certification is encouraged.
- Experience executing and tracking purchase orders.
