Administrative Support/Writer


Position Overview:

Focus for Health is seeking an experienced human service professional to join our small team in Warren, NJ. This individual will assist with grantee management, strategic partnerships, and a variety of administrative tasks. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and independent problem-solving skills.

As a key team member, you must be a hard worker, able to work independently towards team goals, and eager to learn new tasks with mínimal direction.


Location:
In-person, Warren, NJ


Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM; Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct research projects as directed by the team.
  • Develop a pipeline of potential grantee partners, including site visits and diligence summaries.
  • Create materials to highlight specific topics of interest within our grantee portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other foundations to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Assist in planning company events, meetings, luncheons, and employee teambuilding activities, including managing communications, registration, and hotel reservations for two major events annually.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data, including light internet research on topics such as population sizes and disease prevalence.
  • Develop materials for board meetings, including written packets and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Manage and maintain files, records, and correspondence related to meetings.
  • Provide information and research to support executive needs.

Qualifications:


  • B.A. degree in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Public Health, or related field is desired but not required.
  • Experience with grantmaking work or philanthropy is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); capable of scheduling appointments and updating calendars.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a writing sample is required. The ability to edit written materials is helpful.
  • Highly organized multitasker who thrives in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and followthrough.
  • Highly motivated, selfdirected with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Salary:
$50, $55,000.00 per year
