    Job Description:


    The Marketplace Visibility and Auctions team develops and operates a suite of capabilities that enable inventory providers (hotels, airlines, and vacation rentals) to influence the location of their listings and ads on the Expedia Group brand sites.

    The Marketplace Visibility and Auctions team is looking for a passionate engineer with a growth mindset, who is excited about contributing immediately.

    The team is crafting and building some of the most challenging but rewarding technology for Expedia Group, Travel Ads and Auctions, and you'll be directly involved.

    Job Responsibilities:
    Build solutions using your strong background in distributed systems, and large-scale database systems

    Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies

    Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solve product challenges

    Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings

    Work with team members, Architects, and Product Managers to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development principles and product goal


    Job Requirements:
    Have a proven solid foundation in computer science with strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design

    Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Dedicated to delivering high-quality, optimized code, for a distributed architecture capable of serving millions of requests per second


    Qualification & Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

    3+ years of software design and development experience with Java, Scala or a similar object-oriented language
