POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Communications Specialist will help lead our efforts to develop a digital communications program that includes email, SMS, push notification and other opportunities to market to customers via multiple communication channels
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Drives interactive and innovative communications across online and mobile channels that support the company's marketing effortsDevelops and maintains best-in-class email marketing programsDevelops a long-term strategy to re-activate dormant email addressesContinues to find ways to grow and improve the performance of the one-to-one programManages email campaigns from start to finish (scheduling, project management, coding, testing, deployment); while working with various stakeholders (graphic designers, marketing and merchandising specialists, copywriters, etc.) to drive each email from ideation to completion.
Works across the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's network to implement, execute and analyze email campaigns in order to increase customer retention and generate loyalty, particularly with our proprietary brands (i.e. Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, RedHead, Ascend, World Wide Sportsman, etc.) through all sales channels (i.e. internet, catalog and retail).Works with IT and the Contact Center to develop order related emails and other communicationsAssists with the SMS program and push notification program as new marketing channels of communication for customersAssists in the development of short- and long-term customer data analysis plans; lead implementation of those plans to improve the performance of our digital communication strategiesIntegrates findings with market research department to maximize customer learning, acquisition and retention. Creates initial, and optimize, consumer segmentation scheme.
Works with the business and technical teams in determining and implementing innovative solutions that meet business objectivesWork with our retail stores to implement communication between specific stores and their customersLeverages new technologies to contact customersALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Background in Marketing, Mass Communications, or Public RelationsExperience with email marketing, SMS, or push notification messaging preferredExperience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator) a plus.
Experience with HTML and/or CSSExperience in database marketing and be grounded in segmentation, customer loyalty programs, email campaigns and data mining.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Excellent communication and project management skills requiredGood data evaluation skills with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing and product solutions, and to solve complex issuesBasic knowledge of direct response/database marketing, customer relationship management, customer lifetime value, consumer behavior and motivationAbility to multi-task and be flexible
