    UCT is looking for a talented HR Generalist to join us in Austin, TX In this hands-on role, you will be a team player responsible for providing administrative support to the human resources function in the area of staffing, also providing exemplary customer service and other HR Generalist activities for our fast paced organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are welcomed, informed of relevant processes, guide on company information like HR Tools, Benefits, IT point of contact.
    • Partner with HRIS regarding data integrity in UltiPro.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
    • Assist with audit and reporting of site talent acquisition programs.
    • Lead and drive employee engagement activities.
    • Drive the employee communication activities like newsletters, flyers etc.
    • Coordinate termination and reduction in force activities including paperwork, related distributions, and communications.
    • Review and update exit paperwork, close out exiting employee files, store exit interview data for reporting. May conduct employee exit interviews and compile general statistics including headcount tracking.
    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on open positions, interviews, candidate pool, etc.
    • Maintain organizational charts with up-to-date information.
    • Works on special projects in support of the HR organization.
    • Drive corporate initiatives related to performance reviews, annual goal setting, etc.
    • Train and educate employees on paid time off, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, HR initiatives, and more.
    • Support employee relations activities
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels.
    • Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical, attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills.
    • Ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them properly while meeting deadlines.
    • Customer service oriented.
    • Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality with regard to employee and business issues.
    • Ability to build strong partnerships with line managers.
    • Strong computer skills MS Office, Advanced Excel
    • Knowledge and interactive exposure in UltiPro system preferred.
    Educational/Certification Requirement:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
    • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
    Experience Requirement:

    Work Experience:
    • 3+ years HR experience, preferably in high technology/manufacturing environment.
    Physical Demands and Working Conditions: This section is required for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

    • Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.
    Environmental Exposure:
    • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
    • Subject to frequent interruptions.
    • Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required.
    • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers etc.
    Overnight Travel:
    • Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting). 25%
