    • Assist supervisees with applying for necessary certifications and obtaining the necessary education to complete job requirements in ACCS.
    • Ensure to extent possible the involvement of Peer Support Specialists in every aspect of ACCS service delivery; including supporting others in defining goals, articulating barriers, accessing supports and resources, and developing skills necessary for achieving independence in the community of one's choice.
    • Develop and participate in pre-service and ongoing training for peer specialist staff and for non-peer colleagues as necessary to educate the agency fully on the values and tenets of recovery.
    • Advocate for people with mental health and/or substance use disorders and play a leadership role in helping others understand the need for people to independently make informed choices regarding their own recovery.
    • Promote the use of natural supports within the neighborhood and community of the North Suffolk community.
