- Directly providing care to patients and making essential nursing judgments to guarantee appropriate care for all patient demographics
- Developing and executing individualized patient care plans in line with current nursing practice standards and guidelines

- Administering medications to patients following NEBH policies and procedures
- Assessing and monitoring patient responses to medications and therapies, intervening when necessary
- Obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring proper labeling in accordance with identification policies

- Providing pain management, ensuring proper assessment, management, and documentation of patient pain
- Handling patient admissions, transfers, and discharges

- Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other team members
- Adhering to infection control standards and proper procedures for handling bio-hazardous materials

Position Summary:
Ensuring competent, compassionate, and personalized nursing care for a group of patients within a unit or another primary area of practice. Making sure that the care provided is safe, efficient, effective, timely, and aligns with the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic requirements of patients and their families, consistent with NEBH's mission and core values. Collaborating with other members of the patient care team to strategize and coordinate patient care goals, aiming for optimal patient outcomes. Identifying patient care needs and working towards establishing a comprehensive care plan. Upholding patient confidentiality and privacy, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and NEBH standards, policies, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Education: BSN Required
Licensure/Certification/Registration: RN MA license required, American Heart Association ACLS/BLS certification required
Experience: Current ICU experience required. IV Skills Preferred. Will consider 2 years acute surgical step down/intermediate experience for ICU transition
