    Description

    The main goal of this role is to offer software support to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement Section (NCSHP MCES) and the DMV License and Theft Bureau.

    • The Fuel Tax Compliance System (FuelTaCS) enables NCSHP MCES personnel to issue citations to commercial trucks violating NC General Statues, helping collect owed taxes and penalties.
    • The License and Theft Bureau Motor Vehicle Inspection Law Enforcement System (MILES) oversees the Inspection Program for North Carolina citizens, ensuring vehicles meet safety standards for road operation.
    • Additionally, this position supports various DMV applications including LECMS, Scrap Yard System, Trip Permits, CVIEW, and Notice Storage & Theft.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Thorough knowledge of software development principles and techniques, encompassing analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation.
    • Proficiency in areas such as .Net Development Frameworks, Programming Languages (C#, C++), Databases, Version control, XML, Object-Oriented Analysis, and Joint Application Development (JAD).
    • Proven ability to lead projects and provide support for production applications.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
