    SUMMARY:

    The Loan Officer Assistant's primary role is to act as a liaison between the Loan Officer, borrowers, and operation departments. The Loan Officer Assistant ensures clear communication for a smooth closing transaction.

    *Please note this is for an in-office role in our Crown Point, IN branch office*

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist in the collection of missing documentation for the completion of loan files from borrowers
    • Work with the Processor and Loan Officer to collect documentation to clear conditions
    • Update Loan Officer on the status of conditions and copy Loan Officer on borrower correspondence and requests for documentation
    • Structurefile for processing in Encompass
    • Perform basic office functions including, taking phone calls, scheduling meetings for the Loan Officer, faxing, making copies, data entry, etc.
    • Run reports for the Loan Officer to monitor monthly productivity

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Two (2) years prior mortgage or mortgage banking experience
    • Ability to deliver effective results and to meet deadlines.
    • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
    • Excellent phone and service skills
