    Law Enforcement Records Specialists perform support functions related to the Ada County Sheriff's Office. Work is performed under well-established guidelines set forth by State and Federal law. Scope of work requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail. This position will work in the Jail lobby as well and the Classification Unit.

    Law Enforcement Records Specialists provide a positive customer service experience by greeting the public in a professional manner and providing information in the Sheriff's Office lobby, schedule and maintain visiting areas for Attorneys and other Jail Professionals and interact extensively with law enforcement officers and other law enforcement agencies.

    Position is located in the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Administrative Services Bureau, Records Division. New Law Enforcement Records Specialists will start out at a Level I pay rate of $19.00.

    As new Law Enforcement Records Specialists acquire the required skills, they have the opportunity to promote to a Level II pay of $21.00 (usually occurs within the first year) and then to a Level III pay of $22.50.


    SHIFT INFORMATION:
    This is a part-time position working 19.5 hours a week. Applicant must be available to work on Thursday and Friday. Essential Functions + Creates the daily visit schedule to include visitors such as attorneys, evaluators and Health and Welfare; + Communicates with the housing units by telephone and radio for inmate visits; + Provides assistance with our online visiting system; + Monitors online visits to ensure visits are connecting between the two parties; + Collects the proper IDs and paperwork from visitors prior to visits with inmates; + Completes fingerprints for all employees working for the Ada County Sheriff's Office; + Processes individuals who self-sur To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
