    SALARY: $62, $107,530.00

    OVERVIEW

    The Baltimore City Police Department (BPD) is looking to hire a Grant Service Specialist/ HR Generalist II to assist with the full cycle recruitment of our professional staff.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    1. Assisting with various administrative duties, such as researching and carrying out project tasks;
    2. Coordinating and scheduling candidate phone/teams and in-person interviews with hiring managers and interviewing panels;
    3. Coordinate internal job postings, promote internal hiring, and maintain the employee referral program;
    4. Create, edit, and proof job descriptions to maintain the database;
    5. Maintain the Talent Acquisition database, including new job code creation, job requisitions creation, candidate information entry, and troubleshooting;
    6. Stay updated on industry trends;
    7. Make data-driven recommendations for improvement;
    8. Create offer paperwork and ensure timely receipt of signed documents;
    9. Post new hires and job requisitions via Workday;
    10. Assists in providing firsthand support and organizing the day-to-day operations of the recruiting and onboarding process;
    11. The position involves a high degree of professionalism, organization, and customer service.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION: Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

    AND

    EXPERIENCE: Have three years of experience in human resources in one of the following fields: employee selection, position classification and compensation or employee benefits.

    OR

    NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Graduate coursework in psychology, personnel administration, business administration, public administration, public policy or statistics from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year for year basis. Additional experience in employee selection, position classification and compensation, employee benefits, training/organizational development or human resource administration may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

    NOTE: Those eligible candidates who are under final consideration for appointment to positions in this class will be required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information.
