    Description
    Missy/ Young Contemporary – Knitwear/Sweaters
    Job Description

    Well established fashion company is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with minimum 7 years of knitwear /sweater experience to join their team Must have knowledge with yarns, gauges, and knitting machinery.

    Walmart experience, Browzwear and V Stitcher is a big plus. This positions offers growth potential.

    Responsibilities:
    Work with the Technical Design team submitting detailed tech packs including sketch, measurements and size grading.

    Oversee fit sessions:
    take notes and photos of the required corrections on fit and construction and send them to the vendor.

    Update Technical Packages to be sent to in house factories and overseas vendors including construction sketch, construction description, and garment proposed specs.

    Follow up fit samples for construction and measurement accuracy.
    Evaluate each garment spec measurements, yarns, stitches and construction detail.
    Review with vendors on grading and/or construction corrections that are required.
    Must be able to solve problems and identify fit problems

    QUALIFICATIONS :
    College degree or equivalent work experience
    7 years plus technical design experience in including knowledge of sweaters
    Proficient in PLM, is a plus, Microsoft Excel
    Walmart experience
    Experience with 3D programs Browzwear and V Stitcher
