New York based JUNIOR , MISSY AND TEENS Company is looking to hire an experienced Technical Designer, acting as a liaison between design and production as an integral part of the production process.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with designers and production team on production tech pack
Update tech packs, including detailed technical sketches, graded measurements and construction details
Manage all aspects of fittings, construction and technical issues, as well as product evaluations
Ability to work closely with design and interpret design intent
Work with customers on submitted styles and edit tech packs to clearly communicate changes and corrections
Knowledge in pattern, fitting and writing comments
Daily delegation and prioritizing of workload
Works on other relevant projects as required by supervisor

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Designer - in junior, teens, missy – knits, woven and sweaters
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, problem solve and effectively influence
Very good understanding of the design process, apparel and image aesthetics
Highly proficient in pattern making, sewing, garment construction and engineering
Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment
Understanding of manufacturing and product development process
Good eye for proportion
