This position will assist the project PIs in investigating the market dynamics of aquaculture and the economics of aquaculture stock towards ascertaining the viability of novel precision aquaculture technology.
The incumbent would have a background in business, marketing, finance, or economics with an interest in applying knowledge and skills toward environmental sustainability.
Position Duties Conduct in-depth market analysis of Aquaculture and precision aquaculture business, including evaluating total available markets in different regions of the United States.
Evaluate and assess the economics of aquaculture industries, including production costs, sales, and profit margins.Conduct industry informational interviews to collect business perceptions and use of precision aquaculture.
Identify aquaculture field testing locations, and liaise with aquaculture sites to facilitate field testing opportunities.
Provide weekly updates to the research team.

Additional Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or economics.A strong interest in interdisciplinary research and environmental sustainability.
Ability to work independently and effectively with limited supervision.
Must be able to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholder groups. Preferred (Special)
Qualifications Currently enrolled in a graduate program in business administration, economics, or finance.
Skilled at asking questions, getting to know others, and building positive relationships.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Experience with customer interviews or market research.
