    As an employee of Coolibar you are working to support the company mission to "Protect the World from Sun Damage".

    As a Public Relations & Events Manager for multi-channel media on the Coolibar marketing team, you'll be joining a cross-functional team of creative marketers and designers, working together to achieve one thing: Inspire our target(s) to protect their skin from the sun with our industry leading UPF 50 clothing and accessories that are not only functional but fashionable too. Coolibar is the world leader in sun protection you wear. As an employee of Coolibar you are working to support the company mission to "Protect the World from Sun Damage".

    You are a curious, problem solver, you tap into trends, both cultural and social, to generate likes, follows, conversations and ultimately new and repeat customers. You want to create culture-driving, business-building, big brand work in every medium, from targeted press, social and influencer campaigns, to attention-getting activation and experiential event programs.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    · 5-plus years' experience working in Public Relations and/or Communications for an agency or in-house for notable brand(s) must be ready to present examples of writing/communications and public relations campaigns (with supporting ROI data)

    · Degree(s) in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism and proven experience in senior-level public relations roles within the fashion or apparel industry.

    · Proven results in developing and implementing PR Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility, leveraging media relationships and innovative approaches.

    · You bring with you a strong network of media contacts and influencers in the fashion and lifestyle sectors. You cultivate and maintain new and existing relationships with media outlets, journalists and key influencers/celebrities to increase awareness and coverage and secure impactful coverage in South Florida, the Sunbelt States and Nationally.

    · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Expert mastery of the English language, the "art of the press release" blogging and persuasive communication. Develop compelling brand messaging and narratives that align with company values, ensuring consistent communication across all platforms with an understanding of the diverse audiences on social, and the unique needs of these audiences

    · Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy, overseeing the planning and execution of impactful event sponsorships, philanthropic event attendance/sponsorship, trade shoes, fashion shows, product/collection launches, and brand events & experiences.

    · Plan and execute high-profile events, product launches, and fashion shows, ensuring seamless coordination and maximum impact. Manage end-to-end event logistics, including budgeting, vendor management, venue selection, and coordination to guarantee flawless execution.

    · Proficiency in PR software and tools, specifically Cision for social media listening to help identify, optimize and formalize content improvements, target audiences/publications/blogs to optimize copywriting tactics to gain visibility across media platforms.

    · Curiosity about – and knowledge of – emerging tech trends & pop culture with a finger on the pulse of what's trending and why, research, research, research and constant tracking of our competitors and aspirational brands

    · Confidence to present ideas (including the wild ones) to your peers and Directors as well as the ability to incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
