Nonprofit Accounting Manager - Great Benefits & Profit Sharing Plan - National Organization
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent role, offering an exciting opportunity to lead the accounting function of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in non-profit financial management, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of accounting systems.

You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring our financial management is robust, compliant, and supports our strategic goals.

Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.

An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial accounting role is required.

Proven experience in non-profit financial management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
Knowledge of accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
