    SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $100,000 based on applicable experience.

    THE COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue

    ACCOUNTING MANAGER POSITION: We are looking for an Accounting Manager that can adapt and wear multiple hats to lead our Accounting Team. This position will oversee a team of accountants who perform full-cycle accounting for a large number of real estate and hospitality entities.

    ACCOUNTING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with accounting functions for over 50 real estate companies and several non-real estate entities including food and beverage, farming, and transportation industries
    • Financial statement preparation
    • Variance reporting and troubleshooting anomalies
    • Monitor budgets-to-actual for operating entities
    • Verify schedules of depreciation, amortization, prepaids, and accruals
    • Loan tracking and reporting
    • General ledger reconciliation and analysis
    • Lead accounting team and monitor team member workload
    • Work cross-departmentally to provide accurate and reliable data
    • Compile and analyze financial information for business leadership
    • Assist third-party CPA firm in their preparation of all income tax returns

    ACCOUNTING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required
    • 5+ years of GAAP accounting experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks
    • Excellent organizational skills and analytical abilities
    • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
