    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our retail company's Product Development team.

    As an assistant production manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date production status within our databases and systems.

    Your meticulousness and focus will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in production both domestic and international and has a passion for the apparel industry.


    Responsibilities:

    Accurate Data Entry:
    Entry and maintenance of all PO's/cut tickets.

    Engage with contractors/factories; follow up on cut tickets/PO's, making sure all contractors/factories have all details to complete orders on time and with no quality issues.

    Run weekly reports to track production WIP Filing Maintenance:
    Regularly update and maintain filing for PO's, cut orders, cut tickets, patterns, pattern cards and sew by samples


    Sample Maintenance:

    Adding new items, removing discontinued or outdated products to ensure that above mentioned areas are updated and accessible for the Production and Product Development teams.

    Be a liaison between Production Department, Shipping Department, and contractors/factories QC:

    International book, organize and reports findings to Production and Fit Team Understand fabric, patterns, tech packs, graded specs, and construction techniques Organize shipping/receipt of TOPs for approval from Product Development team/ Tech Designers.

    Communicate daily with buyers/merchandising team via email Communicate daily with all contractors using apps such as WeChat and via email Packing Lists:
    Assist in sending all factory and service providers packing lists to accounting


    Collaboration:

    Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to gather and update product information, resolve data-related queries, and provide support in maintaining accurate records.

    Communicate effectively to ensure a smooth flow of information.


    Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Propose and implement enhancements to streamline management workflows.


    Reporting:
    Generate reports and summaries on product data, including purchase orders, weekly progress, WIP and graphic tracking. Provide regular updates to the Product Development team and management, highlighting any significant findings or issues.


    Data Security:
    Ensure the confidentiality and security of product data by adhering to the company's data protection policies and procedures. Take appropriate measures to safeguard sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.

    Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a paced environment RequirementsQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in garment production management or a related field is a plus.

    Proficiency in using AIMS data software, spreadsheets, and databases. Proven experience in production or a similar role Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-related issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of garment manufacturing and product development processes, terminology, and industry trends. Bilingual (Spanish/English) or (Mandarin/English) a plus.
