    JOB SUMMARY:
    The Director of Ecommerce manages our biggest store, the L'OCCITANE website for North America (USA and Canada). In charge of defining and implementing the marketing and merchandising strategy, leading analytics and optimizations for the online customer journey, with the end goal of delivering targeted sales for the L'Occitane website. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will work with key cross-functional teams, including North America Brand Marketing Team, Supply Chain Team and Product Development Team.

    The Director of Ecommerce also oversees any type of new service or new functionality that would drive a higher conversion and better experience of customers and prospects online.
    The Director of Ecommerce leads a team of two direct reports, as well as several Digital partners, and has a business, data-driven mindset, paired with creative skills and technical knowledge. The Director of Ecommerce works in synergy with the other sell out channels.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Lead, plan and manage the L'Occitane website performance for USA and Canada with the end goal to achieve targeted sales and margin
      • Drive sustainable and profitable sales growth for in North America, ensuring that sales and margin goals are met.
      • Perform daily and weekly business reviews and send out weekly recaps to broader organization. Analyze business trends and provide recommendations to maximize sales and profits.
      • Ensure that planned site and marketing activity is aligned with sales plan
      • Work closely with brand marketing and demand planning teams to plan for upcoming collections, submit forecasts, ensure numbers are aligned to sales and marketing targets as well as regional guidelines. Ensure timely check-in of launch inventory.
      • Define and execute high-impact, integrated commercial programs across commerce, social and marketing channels to succeed during key online shopping events (i.e. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Single's Day, etc.).
      • Plan and manage always-on support model for hero products with digital micro-activations that drive trial and retention.
      • Reinvigorate replenishment strategy with integrated plan across consumer touch points to increase Customer Lifetime Value
      • Oversee and strategize the Auto-replenishment program.
    Manage the customer journey of L'OCCITANE's USA and Canadian websites on an on-going basis and for each new campaign launch:
      • Translate new product launches for the online channel,
      • Translate new campaign launches for the online channel into customer journeys.
      • Manage trends curation and creation by partnering closely with key cross-functional teams, including Brand Marketing and Design Team, to create excitement and drive qualified traffic to
      • Oversee execution of the merchandising and content strategy for L'Occitane website (US and Canada) supporting the brands' vision. Identify specific category/sub-category addressing needs of target customer segments.
      • Devise and execute the online sampling strategy, managing forecast to drive ROI. Forecast and track shipping/ delivery of samples and collateral.
      • Find synergies between the US and Canadian websites to ensure successful execution in the most efficient way
      • Lead personalization and A/B test strategy
      • Partner with cross-functional teams (acquisition, retention, Product Development , retail, PR, customer care) to help support special requests and ad'hoc projects and ensure seamless execution on the website
    Strategize new and existing Omni-channel Services and Website Functionalities:
      • Collaborate with the Product Development team on creating a new functionalities roadmap to support the ecommerce strategy.
      • Work on Marketing and Communication plan for these new functionalities
      • Work on Incremental Revenue driven by these functionalities and ROI
    In charge of UX Analytics & Optimizations and collaborating with the PO
      • In charge of mobile, desktop and tablet experience and optimizations with a data-driven mindset
      • Provide recommendations for site enhancements, including educational tools, navigation bars and filters and partner closely with Local Product Development Team Team for the execution of site enhancements.
      • Leverage all analytics tools (Google Analytics, Content Square, New Relic) to conduct in-depth analysis and build in partnership with Local IT Team a local Website roadmap with clear priorities
      • Create analysis cases for different targets, different customer paths and different devices.
      • Present recommendations and areas of improvement to managers and gain support to execute
      • Ensure optimizations are implemented on the website by direct reports: navigation, pages, search functionality.

      • Lead a team of 2
      • Recruit, train and retain strong talents
      • Define scope for each, taking into account their different skills, strengths and wishes
      • Evaluate, challenge, coach and set objectives for team members
      • Role model and reward the application of L'Occitane values of entrepreneurship and collaboration.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    EDUCATION:
    • BS/BA required - MBA desirable
    EXPERIENCE:
      • 8+ years experience in eCommerce and Marketing.
      • 5+ years experience in retail industry.
      • 5+ years in team management
      • Omnichannel experience a plus.
    SKILLS:
      • Experience with various Content Management Systems (Salesforce, Drupal, Joomla, Magento etc.)
      • Experience with Salesforce
      • Proven experience in managing multiple functions in a fast paced, changing environment
      • High degree of comfort in highly creative and unstructured work environment
      • Capability to drive results in a highly matrixed organization with competing priorities
      • Experience in working with Agile methodology and Product mindset
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Ability to communicate complex systems to non-experts
      • Ability to work with technical teams
      • Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
      • Working knowledge of Google Analytics Google Search Console Google Trends
      • Ability to lead and challenge external agencies
      • Ability to retain and lead a full team, make team members grow through new challenges.

    PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
      • Must be able work in normal office conditions
      • Must be able to work 8 hours per day
      • Must be able to travel via airplane within the U.S. and Internationally as needed.
    The compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 - $160,000 for the NYC region. Exact compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, experience, skills, and geographic location. In addition to annual salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program.
