    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Quality Control Inspector 2 is proficient in and responsible for testing the product to ensure it performs according to the product's specifications and intended use. This position collaborates with development teams, including engineers, materials engineers, electronics, and production.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

    Receives direct supervision from the Quality Control Supervisor and/or Senior Management. May request assistance of the department's clerical personnel to assist in the performance of clerical duties; however, does not exercise supervision over any position.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand the functionality of Mid and Hi-Fidelity simulator.
    • Follow testing protocols and take accurate annotations to appropriate forms.
    • Understand and comply with preset pass/fail criteria for inspections.
    • Use basic medical equipment and measurement devices for testing simulators.
    • Interact with and manipulate simulator controls via proprietary software.
    • Document and report inspection findings and results and monitor corrective actions to inspection findings.
    • Communicate effectively with production, management, and other members of the quality assurance team.
    • Assess test results per pass/fail criteria independently.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associates Degree in a technical field or 3+ years of quality inspection experience.
    • Possess at least 3 years of experience in quality inspection.
    • A minimum of 1-year of experience as an Inspector Tier 1 is preferred.
    • Ability to communicate in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
    • Ability to use basic measurement devices.
    • Capable of learning basic medical device use such as BP cuff, stethoscope, BVM, etc.
    • Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word & Excel .
    • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

    CONDITIONS:

    • Indoors, controlled temperature environment.
    • The noise level is that of a manufacturing work environment, and it is usually high to moderate due to the use of telephones, power tools, and employees that approach the department.

    Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM must be willing and able to work some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled shift if needed to meet business demands.
