    Title:
    Asset Operations Analyst

    Basic Function

    The Asset Management Operations Analyst role is primarily monitoring plant output and operations.

    This also includes reviewing generation performance, revenues, and market conditions (e.g., generation, load, weather, and price forecasts) as well as coordinating with the O&M provider and the scheduling coordinators on market offers.

    This person will work in close coordination with the Asset Management, Operations and Transmission Analytics teams. This role will require weekends and could either be Thursdays to Mondays or Fridays through Tuesdays.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Continuously monitor day-to-day project output and other critical parameters and coordinate with internal Operations team and third-party O&M provider, as necessary.

    Respond to performance alerts, system alarms, and abnormal facility conditions by alerting appropriate parties.
    Responsible for maintaining availability levels at each solar facility as well as following curtailment directives.

    Responsible for monitoring and maintaining plant controls regarding automatic voltage regulator (AVR), disturbance monitoring equipment (DME), frequency response, voltage setpoints, and curtailment setpoints.

    Compile data as needed depending on the nature of the issues, work independently and/or with the performance engineering team and complete data analysis of underperforming systems.

    Monitor and review key power market price drivers including renewables, load, gas prices, and weather.
    Submit and monitor trading offers and notify appropriate parties with any issues.
    Review reports from the Transmission Analytics team and monitor real-time issues on the weekends.


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree - engineering or related subject
    5-7 years of experience in power/renewable/solar energy related to Operations and Asset Management
    Knowledge of ISO operations is required; power market experience is a plus
    Proficiency with control center monitoring and operations is needed
    Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS, and UPS systems. Experience with GE Simplicity, Ignition + Canary Labs preferred
    Experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring
    Experience working with a CMMS platform (preferably for power generation facility)
    Expertise in Quality Tools, MS Office Suite, MS Project, and other project management tools
    Analytical skills and problem-solving capability, self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow

    The incumbent will work a staggered work week. Example, Friday to Tuesday. The key objective is to support AM and OM weekend activities.

    Term of Contract : 6 months.
