    Description

    Star Tribune has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Media Buyer The primary responsibility of the Senior Digital Media Buyer is to set up digital media campaigns for owned and operated, and Advantage digital campaigns.

    A successful digital media campaign will achieve or exceed delivery and performance based on KPIs outlined by clients and communicated to the buyer.


    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the development and implementation of digital media campaigns across various buying platforms
    • Monitor digital media campaigns within multiple DSPs daily
    • Optimize toward established KPIs during the life of a campaign
    • Pull data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights and recommendations to take to strategists and digital leads
    • Lead interdepartmental trainings and oversee the onboarding of new hires
    • Maintain relationships with current vendors and research new product offerings
    • Manage, prioritize, and respond to ad-hoc requests as assigned
    • Research and stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends, develop and maintain digital best practices, and promote digital optimization techniques

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in related field and/or certification; or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
    • Three years of working experience utilizing Real-Time Bidding technologies (DSPs, Ad Exchanges, SSPs)
    • Proven track record of successfully managing complex client campaigns and relationships against performance metrics
    • Ad trafficking experience utilizing platforms such as Facebook, GDN, etc.
    • Experience with Google Ad Manager or other ad serving technology
    • DoubleClick Campaign Manager/DoubleClick Bid Manager and Google Analytics certifications are preferred but not required
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in the industry, development processes and business priorities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or granted an accommodation based on disability or sincerely held religious belief
