    As a recruiting partner of TracoPower Noth America we are looking for you as Regional Sales Manager (a) covering Northern California and Pacific Northwest from the location in San Jose.


    In your role, you'll focus on designing Traco Power products into customer systems, manage customer support, collaborate with local distribution teams, develop pricing strategies, and maintain communication with Inside Sales and Management.

    Expect 15% overnight travel and CRM usage, with a focus on completing monthly reports.

    What You Will Be Doing

    Managing customers in assigned territory, primary focus on engineering and design support
    Support local distributor offices and sales activity
    Provide product training at local distributor offices when appropriate

    Qualify engineering inquiries:
    must become knowledgeable about Traco Power portfolio and develop skills to understand customer needs and provide them with the right solution
    Work closely with local Applications Engineer and Technical Support team (located in Switzerland)

    Responsible for customer-specific pricing strategies:
    will work in concert with Inside Sales to quote and Management on pricing structures
    Develop strong relationships with customers and distribution partners
    Monthly travel for customer and distributor appointments
    Active usage of CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to load and update relevant customer information
    Responsible to inform/update Inside Sales people and Management on all relevant customer correspondence and activities

    What You Bring To The Job

    Post-secondary education like a bachelors degree
    Experience in outside sales for power or related products to the OEM market or distributor with an engineering first approach
    Proficient in Microsoft applications (M365)
    Strong communication skills and attention to detail
    Excellent management skills, with the ability to support new and existing customers with routine follow ups
    Travel RequirementsOvernight travel is typical for customer visits that require more than 4-hours' drive time (round trip). Expect 2-3 nights per month on average.
