Job Description We are Ascend, one of the highest volume clinical laboratories focusing on both blood and water testing in the United States. With the use of the most advanced tools and technology, we process millions of tests each month for our client base comprised of over 75 hospitals and over 2,300 dialysis clinics. For over 20 years, we have been delivering industry-leading service and excellence in testing. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling laboratory services for water testing to hospitals, specialized laboratories, clinics, and other potential partners within the United States and potentially abroad
  • Establishes, maintains, and strengthens client relationships at the appropriate levels. Generate and deliver qualified opportunities through cold calling, lead generation, networking, and strategic partnerships
  • Showcase Ascend Clinical's capabilities to potential clients. Ability to differentiate Ascend Clinical from competitors
  • Creates and evaluates quotations for services and provides inputs to ensure client and company requirements are met
  • Provide input of business plans on the market vision through desk research (legislation, market demand, trends and developments, competitor analysis)
  • Maintain facetoface contact with customers and develop multilevel and cross functional relationships with key customers
  • Responsible for opportunity management and accurate pipeline forecasting
  • Collaborates effectively with Ascend leadership to bring potential opportunities to their attention and to identify and win projects. Provides crossfunctional support to other departments as required
  • Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales, business development, or account management in the hospital or laboratory space within the U.S. Preferred experience with clinical or central laboratory services, water or environmental, medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech space with direct interaction with industry executive level decisionmakers
  • Strong understanding of ultrapure water testing laboratory services and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, FDA)
  • Understanding and knowledge of AAMI ST108 and ability to explain to prospective clients. Ability to clearly engage on benefits of Ascend's laboratory fit
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time for client meetings, trade shows, industry meetings and events.
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented, critical and analytical thinking skills, and problemsolving skills
