We're looking for a seasoned Dental Assistant who is driven, patient-centric, and a brand ambassador for our practice in Brattleboro, VT. The ideal candidate will have experience in the dental field, be patient-centric, and act as a brand ambassador for our practice. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; delivering procedures and protocols compliantly; and contributing to a safe, comforting, and welcoming exam room atmosphere.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 7:45AM - 5:15PM

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure proper disinfection and sterilization of instruments, contributing to clinical efficiency
Set up and clean exam or surgery areas, ensuring sanitary conditions
Utilize medical disinfecting procedures to sterilize all necessary equipment and document the cleaning process
Maintain, clean, and order the sterilization room, ensuring proper tray setups and arrangement of instrument cassettes
Utilize sterilization equipment such as autoclaves effectively
Monitor operatory supplies and maintain an adequate inventory
Handle impressions, pour them up in plaster, and ensure proper labeling and documentation
Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate seamless patient care
Comply with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws regarding patient records
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination
Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Diploma or certificate from an approved Dental Assistant program as accredited by CODA
Current VT Dental Assistant license or VT DANB CDA, ICE & RHS Certifications (depending on state requirements)
CPR Certification
Certified in Cranial and Corneal Polish (a plus)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office (required)
Ability to support multiple dental providers concurrently (preferred)
