The Woodlands, TX

The Position:

The SVP of Accounting is responsible for driving process improvements and efficiencies within the finance and accounting departments. The individual in this role will achieve this by using their attention to detail and critical thinking skills to oversee all financial activities of Signorelli, ensuring compliance with regulations, accuracy of financial reporting, and financial planning.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and accurate budget analysis and financial review for the management team.
Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information to appropriate groups, including internal parties and outside agencies.
Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes.
Advise key members of senior management on financial budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making, identify trends, and evaluate business performance.
Oversee all aspects of accounting, including cash management and reconciliation, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.
Oversee the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax preparation.
Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure records adhere to company policies and GAAP.
Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning.
Oversee the hiring and career development of accounting department staff, ensuring all employees are qualified and capable of achieving their goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, required.
Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, preferred.
A minimum of 12 years of public or industry accounting relatable experience.
CPA required.
Experience facilitating in tax compliance (Federal and State returns).
Strong working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles in the preparation of financial statements and in accounting for transactions of the Company.
Direct experience in financial consolidation of moderately complex org charts.
Ability to analyze, produce and interpret financial and budget reports.
Experience in automation of consolidated financial statements.
Proven management and leadership skills to develop a large team of top performers.
Experience in implementing systems and scaling processes.
Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Proficient in accounting software Vena, and/or Newstar preferred.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and written and verbal communication skills.
Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
