    This Opportunity


    We are looking for a talented Consultant, Structural Engineer to join our growing Geotechnical and Tunneling Team in New York City.


    We are working on some of the biggest and most challenging underground projects in the area, constructing new tunnels and renovating existing ones.

    Your Impact

    Perform structural engineering design and analyses for tunnels and underground structures under the supervision of senior engineers

    Design and analysis of reinforced concrete, steelwork, tunnel linings

    Underground subway station framing design and analysis

    Field inspection of existing underground structures

    Field inspection of construction

    Assist in the preparation of drawings, studies and designs of underground projects

    Assist task leaders in preparation of reports and Contract Documents

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    Minimum B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

    3-5 years of experience in structural or tunnel engineering practice

    Strong background in structural analysis, familiar with structural engineering software such as SAP2000, STAAD and spColumn

    Familiar with CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or Revit

    Good understanding and knowledge of structural engineering and related disciplines (structures, civil, geotechnical, and planning)

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with other disciplines, managers, and other staff)

    Ability and willingness to travel and perform field work


    Preferred Qualifications:
    EIT preferred

    M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

    Internship(s) applying structural engineering skills


    Compensation and Benefits:

    Expected Salary:
    $85,000 - $105,000


    WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
